West Virginia, also known as the "Mountain State," is experiencing growth in its tourism industry thanks in part to being covered in beautiful blankets of forests over the Appalachian Mountains. And not surprisingly, it has been reported that the profession of nail technology will grow by approximately 18% over the next several year according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. For people who want to join this dynamic field, the West Virginia Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists requires completion of a 400 hour approved education program. This program will include training to provide manicures and pedicures, and to apply artificial nails. Students must also pass national written and practical exams before they receive their license
