They can also complete 3000 hours of apprenticeship, or about 2 years full time work, under the training and supervision of a licensed manicurist. Nail tech training will include learning to shape and clean fingernails and toenails, apply polish and decorate nails. They will also learn safe nail hygiene and salon procedures.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the annual mean salary for licensed nail techs in Delaware is $23,910 before tips. The salaries can range from $16,910 to $28,150 before tips.
