Montana Nail Training Requirements

Montana students wishing to earn a nail technician license must be 18 and have either a high school diploma or GED. Then, you will have to enroll in and complete a nail technician school in Montana. The nail tech program must be at least 350 hours long. It should cover topics such as manicure and pedicure techniques, nail art, hygiene, business practices, ethics, artificial nails and tips, and nail care products. After school is completed, you will apply to the Montana Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists to take the written and practical exams. When those exams have been passed, you will be issued your nail tech license by the Board.
