Electrology Schools in Arkansas

Arkansas Beauty and Cosmetology Schools

Are you fishing for a new career? The beauty schools in Arkansas might be exactly what you're looking for! If you want to work a flexible schedule, enjoy working with people, have a passion to be creative, and love to make people feel beautiful, the beauty industry is just perfect for you.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects healthy growth for cosmetologists - 14% for hair stylists, 17% for nail technicians, and 25% for skincare therapists. And, with a diploma from a beauty school in Arkansas, you can do all three!

The Arkansas Department of Health offers licenses in Cosmetology (1500 hours), Nail Technology (600 hours), esthetics (600 hours), and Electrology (600 hours). The state requires you to pass both a written and practical exam to be licensed. This involves extensive testing of your skills in the following areas - set up and client protection, thermal curling, haircutting, chemical waving, virgin hair lightening and retouch, and virgin relaxer and retouch. While it sounds like a lot to do after 1500 hours of cosmetology education, it will feel like a breeze as long as you have healthy study habits.

Choose a career in cosmetology today! It will be hard work, but you will be rewarded for that hard work. You'll be able to live a more creative lifestyle, work the hours you choose, and feel a sense of accomplishment when you make someone feel their most beautiful. And, better yet, choose a beauty school in Arkansas, the Natural State! Not only do we have some of the best beauty schools, the beauty of our wildlife and national parks will complement your new career in making people feel beautiful.

As a licensed electrologist, you can perform services for people who want to have permanent unwanted hair removed. Search for electrology programs in your area and start a career in electrolysis! Click for more information about electrology careers.
