New Hampshire Cosmetology Licensing Requirements

The Granite State. The White Mountains, Lake Winnipesaukee, Dartmouth and The Old Man of the mountain.

Licenses Available: Barber, Cosmetologist, Electrologist, Esthetician, Manicurist

Required Hours:
Barber: 1500 Hours (3000 Apprentice)
Cosmetologist: 1500 Hours (3000 Apprentice)
Electrologist: 1100 Hours
Esthetician: 600 Hours
Manicurist: 300 Hours

Minimum Requirements: Good professional character, high school education or its equivalent.

Reciprocity: Granted to those applicants from states whose reqirements are equal to or greater than those of New Hampshire. Applicants must pass the State Law Exam.
