Required Hours:
Cosmetology: 1800 Beauty School Hours
Electrology: 600 Electrolysis Training Hours
Esthetics: 600 Esthetician Hours
Manicurist: 350 Nail School Hours

Minimum Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.

Reciprocity:
ND grants reciprocity to applicants whose original state of licensure requires the same or greater criteria than North Dakota requirements. Work experience will be considered for cosmetologists only. All reciprocal license applicants must pass the North Dakota Law & Santation written tests.

Renewal:
North Dakota cosmetology licenses must be renewed annually. At last update, North Dakota required 4 hours of continuing education per renewal period. To renew your license in North Dakota, the following is due to the ND cosmetology board:
