Massachusetts: The Bay State
If you are interested in getting your Massachussetts cosmetology license or other beauty license, below is all the information you need to know about getting licensed in the Bay State!
Aesthetician: 300 Esthetics School Hours
Cosmetologist/Hairdresser: 1000 Cosmetology School Hours
Electrologist: 1100 Electrolysis Training Hours (Exams 2x Per Year)
Manicurist: 100 Nail School Hours
Must be at least 17 years of age.
Must have at least 10th grade education.
Applicant holds a current license from another state, and has a minimum of two years work experience.
Massachusetts beauty professionals are required to renew their licenses every two years on the licensee's birthday. The following are required to renew your license in Massachusetts:
