If you are interested in getting your Utah cosmetology license or other beauty license, below is all the information you need to know about getting licensed in the Beehive State!
Barber, Cosmetologist: 2000 Cosmetology School Hours (2500 Apprentice)
Electrologist: 500 Electrolysis Training Hours
Esthetician: 600 Esthetics School Hours
Master Esthetician: 1200 Esthetics School Hours
Nail Technologist: 200 Nail School Hours
No minimum age or education requirements on file.
Granted to applicants from states with requirements which are substantially equal to those of Utah.
Utah cosmetology licenses must be renewed every two years, by September 30 of odd-numbered years. There are no continuing education requirements for renewal at this time. To renew your license in Utah, the following must be submitted to the UT cosmetology board:
