Barbering
Electrology
Facial Technology
Nail Technology

Required Hours:
Hair Design: 1700 Cosmetology School Hours
Barbering: 1350 Barber School Hours
Electrology: 600 Electrolysis Training Hours
Facial Technology: 500 Beauty School Hours
Nail Technology: 600 Nail School Hours
*Cosmetology licensees are required to be certified in individual fields of practice as of July 1, 2005.

License Requirements:
No minimum age or education requirements on file.

Reciprocity:
Applicants who hold an active license in another state, who have passed Board-approved national written and practical exams may obtain an Oregon license.

Renewal:
Oregon cosmetology licenses are valid for two years. The license must renewed by the last day of the month two years from the issuance date. At this time, no continuing education hours are required to renew. To renew your license in Oregon, the following are due to the OR cosmetology board:
