Massage Therapy

If you're interested in the gentle-healing profession of massage therapy, it's important to get the right education. At Utah Career College, our professional instructors have extensive experience in the field. Students not only receive a thorough grounding in the basics of massage therapy, but they also have opportunities for hands-on practice in the most requested techniques and treatments. Our programs are constantly reviewed to help make sure our students are learning current and valuable skills in the industry.

Training is science-based, preparing our students to join the community of allied health professionals. Students complete courses in anatomy and physiology, as well as medical terminology, before performing techniques on other students and outside clients. This ensures students know and understand the body, giving them confidence and a strong knowledge base.

We offer two paths to becoming a massage therapist. You can choose:

Associate in Massage Therapy

• We offer the only Massage Therapy Associate degree program in the Salt Lake Valley region. This degree demonstrates that, in addition to technical and occupational training, a graduate has completed general education courses in math, English, writing, interpersonal relations and other areas. A liberal arts education can help a massage therapist to better communicate with clients and manage business relationships, skills that are essential to career success!

Massage Therapy Diploma

• Our Massage Therapy diploma program can provide students with the tools they need to succeed in a rewarding profession. This 6-quarter (18-month) diploma program qualifies graduates to take advantage of entry-level career opportunities in massage therapy. Massage therapy courses form the core of the diploma program, providing training and hands-on practice in a wide range of modalities, treatments and related skills.
