Founded in 1970, Suffolk Beauty Academy is dedicated to the ideals of professionalism. We provide students a Cosmetology program that can prepare them for a career in the beauty industry and provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to share their beauty expertise in topics of hair styling, hair coloring, facials and much more.
At Suffolk Beauty Academy, we can offer students a 1,500-hour Cosmetology program that consists of a balance of in-classroom theory and also practical experience. Our course outlines and daily lesson plans ensure that students are taught the proper knowledge and skills to help aid them in achieving their professional goals.
If you are are interested in attending the Suffolk Beauty Academy, you must comply with the following admission requirements: You must have a high school diploma, transcripts or a GED; proof of date of birth; and a copy of your social security card. Credit for previous cosmetology education will be considered only with an official transcript and a transfer student evaluation with one of Suffolk Beauty Academy's instructors. Transfer credit will be accepted based on evaluation and transcript.
Add a Beauty Education to Your Busy Schedule
Suffolk Beauty Academy makes balancing a cosmetology education with your busy life a little bit more manageable by offering a part-time program and full-time program. Depending on which program you choose, our full-time program schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and our part-time program schedule is Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Financial Aid Available for Those Who Qualify
If the first thing that comes to your mind when considering a cosmetology education is how you will finance it, Suffolk Beauty Academy has a variety of financial aid options. Our school is approved for use of government grant and loan programs. Students interested in Title IV funds should consider the Federal Pell Grant; Federal Direct Loans, Stafford Subsidized & Un-Subsidized; and Federal Direct Loans, PLUS Loan or Parent Loan programs. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
