Our School
At Ohio State Schools of Cosmetology, we are proud to offer cosmetology training at several different locations throughout central Ohio. Each location provides students with a fantastic education featuring state-of-the-art facilities, experienced instructors and flexible schedule options. However, much like a professional salon, each of our facilities possesses its own personality or "feel". For years the residents of Heath, Ohio and surrounding communities in Licking, Knox, Perry, Muskingum and Coshocton Counties, have received cosmetology services and training at American School of Hair Design in Heath. In 2010 Ohio State School of Cosmetology acquired this school and we are very happy to be a member of this warm and friendly community!

Your Training
Managing Cosmetology
A managing cosmetology license will allow you to be a hair, skin and nail care professional. Not only will you learn up-to-the-minute hair styling and cutting techniques, you will also receive training in skin and nail care. As a student at Ohio State School of Cosmetology, you will receive excellent training from our experienced and knowledgeable staff. This facility has an energy and enthusiasm found in the top trend-setting salons. Creativity rules at this busy school - Come join the action!

Managing Manicuring
Nail Technology (Manicuring) is a specific practice of Cosmetology, and deals primarily with the care of hands and nails. The course teaches both technical and management skills, as well as nail sculpting - the application of artificial nails - pedicuring and spa services. We have designed our course to go beyond entry level, and train the student in both salon skills and in salon ownership and management. A graduate of this course may work in a top nail or cosmetology salon, manage a nail salon, own their own salon or choose a "booth rental" approach to their career.

Our long history and excellent reputation have allowed us to become professional partners with hundreds of salons throughout Ohio which can lead to opportunities for interning, mentoring and job placement. Our annual job fair is a popular recruiting opportunity for dozens of savvy salon owners looking for fresh talent!
