The Cosmetology program at Minnesota School of Cosmetology is designed to prepare you for a future in the beauty industry. Through a combination of theory, practical classes and lots of on-the-floor training, you'll have the opportunity to make others look and feel beautiful.
Designed to provide students with the knowledge they need to sit for the state board examination, our program covers all of the essential basics: shampooing, hair cutting, hair styling, makeup application, temporary and permanent hair waving, hair straightening, hair coloring, bleaching and tinting, manicuring, facials, and various skin and scalp treatments. You'll also learn important business skills such as salon management and interpersonal communication skills!
Graduates of the Cosmetology program at Minnesota School of Cosmetology have gone on to such careers as:
- Stylist
- Makeup artist
- Cosmetic technician
- Salon owner
- Salon manager
- Competition or platform stylist
- School instructor
