Our Programs

The Michigan College of Beauty offers three fields of study to choose from: Cosmetology, Esthetics/Skin Care and Nail Technology.

Cosmetology

Michigan College of Beauty's Cosmetology program prides itself on the successful preparation of students to become leading hairstylists, hair color specialists and salon owners. With 1500 hours of instruction, cosmetology students will have the opportunity to learn the top hairstyling, haircutting and shaping, permanent waving, shampooing, coloring, and facial and scalp treatment techniques. The Cosmetology program also offers day and night classes to its students along with scholarship opportunities. Financial aid and student loans are also available for those who qualify.

Esthetics/Skin Care

The Esthetics training from Michigan College of Beauty gives its students the proper fundamentals to acquire beauty salon and spa positions with an accent in skin care. Students will gain knowledge of skin analysis, and specialty and customized facials, such as teen, men's and anti-aging facials, day and night makeup application, extractions, body waxing, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, and advanced treatments.
Classes are held during the day and have no more than 10 students in each class at a time. Esthetics students will also gain experience serving real clients and will learn salon management and appointment booking training.

Nail Technology

At Michigan College of Beauty, students studying manicuring will gain an education focusing on nail care and nail grooming. Basic manicures, French manicures, hot oil treatment and paraffin dips will be taught in classes by our professional staff. Students will also learn how to perform a basic pedicure, apply tips with buff and glue, apply tips with an acrylic overlay, and how to sculpt the nails. Three nail wraps and nail art is also covered in the curriculum.

Classes are held Tuesday through Friday and start monthly. Scholarships are also available.
