All of the programs at Federico Career Colleges follow the Pivot Point International program of study. Training with us gives you the opportunity to interact with clients on a daily basis, providing spa and salon services in a professional salon environment. As part of our standard curriculum, you'll also participate in mock board exams that include both written and practical tests, preparing you for the state licensure exams.

Cosmetology

The comprehensive Pivot Point curriculum will teach hair coloring, cutting and styling, chemical treatments, basic spa treatments, manicures, and more. Through classroom training and hands-on experience in a salon setting, you will complete the program fully prepared to take the State Board examination for licensure.

Manicuring

Through classroom and practical training you will learn the ins and outs of the nail business, including the latest in spa products, nail enhancements, Brisa gel enhancements, Brisa UV lamps, and enamel colors. To practice your new skills, you will have the opportunity to provide services to clients in the school's salon, in addition to participating in nail competitions and fashion shows. You will be prepared to take the State Board examination for licensure after completing this program.

Barbering

The Pivot Point barbering curriculum will prepare you to provide services such as male and female hair-cuts, hair coloring, texture and perm design, and professional shaves. You'll have the opportunity to provide barbering services daily for clients in the school salon, giving you the hands-on training you need to successfully begin your new career. This program prepares you to take the State Board exam for licensure through mock board exams and test review.

Esthetics

Learn how to provide high-end spa treatments such as facials, hair removal, and makeup application. You will study skin care and analysis in depth, with the opportunity to provide spa services to clients on a daily basis. Upon completion, you will be prepared to take the State Board examination for licensure.

Massage Therapy

Our newest program will give you the opportunity to train with licensed instructors in a professional spa setting, practicing your new skills on clients daily. The massage therapy program covers a variety of massage techniques, preparing you for work in a range of areas. You could find a position in a health spa, a sports therapy clinic, or in a chiropractor's office. Pairing massage therapy training with our esthetics program can prepare you for a career in a high-end salon.
