Named for its dynamic founder, BJ's Beauty and Barber College prepares men and women for professional careers as stylists, business owners and educators. Since 1980, we've put our students first by staying ahead of the latest styling trends and techniques. We offer accredited training in these diploma and certificate programs:

Our instruction relies on science but leaves lots of room for individual artistry. We use premier product lines including ABBA, Pureology, Redken, Bioelements and Chi. Plus, we coach you in your studies to pass the state board examination!
About Our Programs
At BJ's Beauty and Barber College, our instructors share their expertise in spacious, well-lit classrooms equipped with the tools you need to learn. No matter what program you choose, we enrich your skills with a variety of classroom and hands-on techniques including lectures, live demonstrations, videos and guest speakers. You will practice first on mannequins, then on patrons, while we guide you through every step.
Choose among these programs:
• Barbering is our 1100-hour program that will prepare you to offer clients haircutting, wet and dry styling, shaving and facial hair trimming and care for artificial hair-with a basis of sanitation and safety practices, skincare and salon management
• Cosmetology is our 1800-hour program that will prepare you to sit for the state board exam. You will learn all the techniques in our Barbering program plus additional skills that include hair coloring and bleaching, permanents and chemical relaxing, manicures and pedicures, skincare and makeup and color analysis.
• Teacher Training is our 600-hour program designed for licensed cosmetologists who want to discover the rewards of training others. We provide lesson planning tips, classroom management skills, teaching methods and testing examples that you can use if you choose to teach beauty school students.
