Programs
Through our extensive Cosmetology program, you can learn some of the latest techniques and current methodologies in hair, nail care and skin care. We can help you gain the skills that you need to be successful in this high-demand industry. Our program is designed for you to learn the essentials and then practice your new skills in our student clinic. You can build hands-on experience that employers look for.

At Aveda, we divide our Cosmetology program into 6 phases. Each phase represents a different hands-on learning experience from various sectors in the beauty industry.

Earth Phase
During this 10-week phase, you can learn the fundamentals of hairstyling. Our teachers can show you the correct way to do the following procedures:

• Shampooing
• Rinsing
• Conditioning
• Coloring
• Cutting
• Facials
• Manicures
• Pedicures
• And more!

Water Phase
During this 10-week phase, you can take your techniques to the next level and learn how to strengthen your haircutting skills, with additional focus on nails.

Fire Phase
During this 10-week phase, we focus on skin care. Learn Aveda's Elemental Nature philosophy built around facial treatments. You can learn a wide range of spa services during this course.

Air Phase
During this 10-week phase, our program helps you professionally apply your newly acquired skills. We explore trends in the industry, as well as help you build a professional portfolio. The main emphasis in this phase is on professionalism and business skills.

Infinity Phase
This 10-week phase is designed to prepare you for the upcoming state license exam. During this part of the program, you can study the test format and prepare for your new career in cosmetology.

Salon Life Phase
During this 10-week phase, you prepare for your future career by networking with professional salons in the area. You can work toward established industry standards and take the opportunity to participate in our honors program. This section also features salon tours and seminars from guest artists.
